When you’re used to sand all around you every time you venture out of the city, it’s a treat to see water everywhere. Today, we took a drive down the Ards Peninsula to Portaferry.
On the way down, the tide was out, revealing what lies hidden half the time.
On the way back, the tide was coming in again and the cloud was building.
By the time we left my father’s house in Donaghadee, the tide was out again, and one dog walker was taking advantage of it.
But of course, the water never escapes from the harbour.
